1

💳 Bill Insurance Directly Through a DME

If you'd rather have insurance billed directly — no out-of-pocket costs upfront — working with a local Durable Medical Equipment (DME) supplier is the way to go. Many DMEs can order LympheDIVAs garments on your behalf and handle the billing directly with your insurer.

Step 1: Find a LympheDIVAs-Carrying DME Near You

Use our Store Locator to find a certified DME supplier or lymphedema clinic near you that carries our garments. These are trained, trusted partners who know our products and understand the insurance billing process.

Step 2: Work With Your DME to Place Your Order

Once you've connected with a local supplier:

  • Share your prescription and diagnosis documentation with them
  • Let them know which LympheDIVAs styles, colors, and compression levels you're interested in — yes, you still get to choose! 💜
  • They'll handle the prior authorization, billing, and paperwork with your insurer on your behalf
  • Your garments are ordered and shipped directly to you

📌 Tip: Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself when working with a DME. You have the right to request specific brands — including LympheDIVAs — and your provider should work with you to fulfill that.

2

💸 Pay with HSA or FSA Funds via TrueMed

Compression garments for lymphedema are a qualified medical expense — which means your HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds can be put to work. LympheDIVAs accepts HSA/FSA payments through our partnership with TrueMed, making it simple to use your pre-tax dollars at checkout.

How It Works

  • At checkout on www.lymphedivas.com, select TrueMed as your payment method
  • You'll be prompted to complete a brief eligibility process through TrueMed's secure platform
  • Once approved, your HSA/FSA card is charged directly — no reimbursement forms, no waiting

✅ No receipt-chasing. No claim forms. Just compression that works for you — paid for with money you've already set aside for your health.

💡 Not sure if your HSA/FSA covers compression garments? In most cases, garments prescribed for a medical condition like lymphedema qualify. When in doubt, check with your plan administrator or ask your provider to include a statement of medical necessity with your prescription.

3

✨ Purchase from LympheDIVAs and File for Reimbursement

Prefer to shop directly with us and sort out reimbursement on your end? This is the route many of our customers love — you get faster access to your garments, full access to our collection, and total control over the process. And we make the paperwork side easy: every LympheDIVAs order confirmation includes a PDF receipt with all the information you'll need to file your claim.

💡 Good news: Thanks to the Lymphedema Treatment Act (effective January 1, 2024), Medicare now covers compression supplies for lymphedema management — and many private insurers are following suit.

Step 1: Find Out What Your Insurance Covers

Start by calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking these key questions:

  • Are compression garments for lymphedema covered under my plan?
  • Which garment types and compression levels are included?
  • Do I need a prescription or pre-authorization before purchasing?
  • Are custom-fit garments covered, or only off-the-shelf?
  • Is there an annual limit on garments?
  • Do I need to buy from an in-network DME supplier?

Step 2: Get the Right Prescription from Your Provider

A detailed, accurate prescription is the foundation of a successful claim. Ask your physician, certified lymphedema therapist (CLT), or specialist to include:

  • Diagnosis: Lymphedema with the appropriate ICD-10 code (e.g., I89.0)
  • Garment type: sleeve, gauntlet, glove, or other
  • Compression level: e.g., 20–30 mmHg or 30–40 mmHg
  • Duration of need: e.g., "lifetime," "ongoing daily wear"
  • Statement of medical necessity

The more specific, the better — vague prescriptions are one of the most common reasons claims get delayed or denied.

Step 3: Shop LympheDIVAs

Browse our full collection of made-to-order, American-made compression sleeves, gauntlets, and gloves at www.lymphedivas.com. Choose the colors, prints, and fit you actually want — then purchase directly from us.

Step 4: Gather Your Documentation

Here's the good news: we've already done a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Your order confirmation email includes a PDF receipt with everything your insurer needs — your name, product details, compression level, amount paid, date of purchase, and HCPCS billing code. Just save that email and you're most of the way there.

To submit your claim, you'll need:

  • Your LympheDIVAs PDF receipt (included automatically with your order confirmation)
  • Valid prescription from your provider
  • Insurance claim form (download from your insurer's member portal or request by phone)

LympheDIVAs HCPCS Codes — for your records and your insurer:

Garment HCPCS Code
Arm Sleeve A6578
Glove (full finger) A6581
Gauntlet (fingerless) A6582
Sock — 15–20 or 20–30 mmHg A6530
Sock — 30–40 mmHg A6552

LympheDIVAs Tax ID: 06-1778017

These codes and our Tax ID may be requested by your insurer or needed when completing your claim form. They're also included on your PDF receipt.

📩 Don't see what you need in your receipt, or have questions about your documentation? Just reach out to our team — we're happy to help.

Step 5: Submit Your Claim

Once you have everything in order:

  • Mail your completed claim form and supporting documents to your insurer, or
  • Upload everything through your insurance member portal if that option is available

Most claims are processed within 30–45 days. If your claim is denied, don't give up — you have every right to appeal. A Letter of Medical Necessity from your physician is one of the most effective tools in the appeals process.

You've got this — and we've got you. If you have questions about your LympheDIVAs order or need help with documentation, our team is always just an email away. 💜
